Последователи христианской протестантской секты, признают только Евангелие (тексты Нового Завета). Широко толкуют учение о предопределении, то есть считают, что спасение ждет всех истинно верующих без исключения, что "добрые дела" являются следствием веры. Евангелизм в США распространен среди ряда близких сект: сюда относятся евангелисты-конгрегационалисты, баптисты [Baptists], некоторые лютеранские [Lutherans] деноминации, меннониты [Mennonites], методисты [Methodists].
